INFORMATION AND PSYCHOLOGICAL IMPACT IN TERMS OF HEALTH SECURITY

SUMMARY:

The article deals with the role of information and psychological impact on human’s organism and health, which is considered to be a powerful factor of modern information technology having strong influence on human health security. The study is aimed at investigating the dependence of information and psychological impact mechanisms and individual health, which directly can change state of human health security. The method of modelling has shown that a fundamental aspect of controlling mental, physical and social health and health preservation at social, cultural and national levels is the ability to establish adequate behaviour while receiving the information. Depending on the particular kind of information and psychological impact specificity, individual traits and previous information experience processing, a person can influence and regulate his/her health and strengthen his/ her own security. It has been determined that two main kinds of information and psychological impact are of the key importance in the formation of individual health security. These kinds of impact are based on the moral and semantic filter and unconscious perception of information. Among all stream of data an individual focuses only on its specific fragments. Way of thinking, worldview, values, spiritual, material interests influence the process of information enrichment, development of moral and semantic filter. At the same time, the enrichment of this filter involves national and ethical values, historical factors, education, religious and philosophical views, ideological propaganda, needs, mass media. A person makes specific decisions concerning the received information when analysing data absorbing it through the filter, which then are turned into actions and deeds. As a result, the level of adequate behaviour formation depends on some specific factors like degree of information and psy-chological attitude, decision making ability, typical behaviour, etc. In addition, it has been revealed that the specificity of human psyche influences his/her resistance to uncontrolled non-verbal information impact.

SENIOR STUDENTS’ PROFESSIONAL IDENTITY

SUMMARY:

The urgent task of university education is the development and formation of future professionals’ personality, their self-identification assistance with the profession, allowing students to create optimal conditions for self-realization in the profession. Professional identity is the result of professional self-determination, manifested in the comprehension of oneself as a representative of a certain kind of occupation. Students’ professional identity begins to develop when they face the necessity of choosing future profession. The maturity of professional identity is accompanied by the feeling of safety and self-belief. The study of students’ professional identity has been conducted in Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University. It involved fourth- and fifth-year students majoring in humanities and technical sciences. There have been used “The method of studying the professional identity statuses” by A. Azbel and L. Schneider and “The method of personality type determination” by J. Holland. The statistical analysis of the differences between students majoring in humanities and technical sciences in the identity status and personality types obtained by the above mentioned methods has been carried out using χ 2 -criteria in the package of statistical data processing SPSS. The research results have shown that students majoring in humanities are more prone to professional identity crisis; they have a high level of anxiety and are dependent in their occupational choice. There have been justified the differences in “pseudo-identity” between the two groups of students. It has been affirmed that the dominant type for the first group of surveyed is a social one, and more realistic type of personality describes another group of students. The students majoring in humanities realize the problem of occupational choice and are willing to solve it. The system of aims and values is undeveloped in humanities-minded students compared to technical-minded ones. Infraction of identification and social relations mechanism characterize students of technical field. They choose a profession according to the necessity to emphasize their social status and avoid the problem of choice (state of crisis), which has been confirmed by the high indices of “pseudo-identity”. The carried out empirical study has shown that in the both groups of surveyed the occupational choice is unconscious and dependant, which complicates the formation of their professional identity.

PSYCHOLOGICAL DETERMINANTS OF RESEARCHER’S PERSONALITY SELF-REALIZATION

SUMMARY:

The article presents the results of the theoretical review of the evolution of views on the issue of psychological determinants of researcher’s personality self-realization. There has been conducted the analysis of the conditions of the transformation of personality self-realization as an accompanying phenomenon in the development of research activity subject into the process of creative conscious researcher’s personality self-realization. There has been carried out an empirical study in the framework of post-nonclassical paradigm involving 114 respondents (students and post-graduates of Odessa National Medical University), for whom the intensity of the researched component is significant. In order to conduct the qualitative analysis of the conditions of transformation of personality self-realization as an accompanying phenomenon in the development of research activity subject into conscious researcher’s personality self-realization, the sampling has been divided into four groups according to the following criteria: 1) active participation in scientific and research work, 2) the expressiveness of the researched component in the structure of researcher’s personality. There have been used such methods as observation, conversation, as well as the following standardized methods: selfactualization test (by Yu. Alioshyna, L. Gozman et al.), the questionnaire of dominant instincts (by V. Harbuzov), the questionnaire of Professional preferences (by J. Holland), the test “The ability to self-government” (N. Peisakhov), O. Yeliseiev’s technique “Motivation constructiveness“, the individually-typological questionnaire (by L. Sobchik), the method of assessment of personality’s innovative potential manifestation (by Yu. Vlasenko). The analysis of the obtained results allows to assume that the transformation of self-realization level and the transition from the reproductive type of research to the innovational one is associated not so much with researcher’s interests in this kind of activities, his/her professional skills and experience, but with the level of harmony, coherence and co-evolution of the systems “man – profession” and “personality – research activity”.
