THE CONSEQUENCES OF PSYCHOTRAUMATIC EVENTS IN MODERN WARTIME CONDITIONS FROM THE POSITION OF ADAPTIVE HABILITATION


SUMMARY:

The article is devoted to highlighting the consequences of psychotraumatic events and defining the structure of neurotic disorders that come to the fore in the events of wartime. The negative impact of modern stressful events can subsequently initiate post-traumatic stress disorders in the early and long-term period, which have an obsessive nature and worsen a person’s life and health. During the observation of military personnel undergoing rehabilitation after treatment in a multidisciplinary hospital, the structure of psychoneurological disorders was determined. The clinical-catamnestic method of examination and psychological diagnostic methods were used. It was clearly determined that according to the results of the first stage of the study, among the examined contingent (124 people), neurotic manifestations that went beyond the scope of physiological adequate adaptation reactions dominated. The presence of certain neurotic manifestations in the form of increased irritability was determined; intemperance; emotional tension; quick fatigue; night dreams that are saturated with military themes and combat experience, as well as vegetative dysfunctions. It was determined that at the second stage of the study, in the remote period, the leading manifestation of the disorders was a depressive syndrome with asthenic inclusions, which arose under the condition of long-term significant psychotraumatic situations. Among these individuals, a pronounced social maladjustment was manifested in combination with a desire for isolation from society. The stages of development of post-traumatic changes of a neurotic nature are: 1) acute reaction to stress; 2) neurotic reactions; 3) neurotic conditions; 4) neurotic personality development. It was emphasized that the consequences of psychotraumatic events in modern wartime conditions are very threatening. This actualizes the use of various rehabilitation methods aimed at restoring the health of persons with psychoneurological disorders for the opportunity of society to include each of those who have experienced post-traumatic changes in the life and work process. At the same time, habilitation is an auxiliary set of activities carried out with the help of information technologies and aimed at forming and improving the physical, mental, and social skills of an individual. How to eliminate or reduce the health risk due to one’s own behavior, how carefully and responsibly a person will treat his own body, largely depends on social learning.

SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS AS A TOOL FOR PROMOTING EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS


SUMMARY:

The article explores how educational institutions can effectively utilize social media to enhance their visibility, attract potential students, and foster an online community that supports their educational mission. The authors research social media as a tool for introducing schools and universities to the public and engaging followers in sharing the institutions’ values and educational goals. Having analyzed the most popular social media platforms in Ukraine and the world, the authors prove that Facebook is an outstanding leader among social media applications, although the age range of its followers is not considered here. On the other hand, if an educational institution is interested in opening up to a younger target audience, it’s essential to draw their attention to using platforms like Instagram. The survey conducted among the students of H.S.Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University enrolled on Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree programs proves social networks to be now one of the most powerful tools for promoting goods and services on the market. An educational institution’s task here is to carefully analyse target audience preferences and create ideal conditions for them to choose a particular university for obtaining an academic degree. As social media continues to evolve and new trends and technologies appear, educational institutions must remain agile and adaptive, embracing emerging challenges.

TRANSCARPATHIAN TERTIARY TEACHERS’ ATTITUDES TO REMOTE TEACHING


SUMMARY:

This study examines tertiary teachers’ attitudes towards distance education at two leading higher educational institutions in Transcarpathia, focusing on the shift prompted by the rise of online learning, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research aims to identify commonalities and differences in perceptions among teachers, and exploring factors that shape these attitudes. Utilizing both quantitative and qualitative methods, the study systematically analyses teachers’ demographic data, experiences, and perceptions, offering a comprehensive understanding of how they engage with and adapt to online education. The research involved a diverse group of teachers of various disciplines, who participated in an online survey conducted during the 2023/2024 academic year. The survey was designed bilingually in Hungarian and Ukrainian to ensure inclusivity and effective communication. Quantitative analysis identified patterns and correlations, while qualitative analysis provided deeper insights into the nuanced experiences and challenges faced by teachers during online education. Findings reveal that while most teachers felt prepared for online teaching, concerns about academic integrity, mental health, and digital assessment were prevalent. Despite these challenges, teachers acknowledged the flexibility and accessibility of online education but expressed a preference for traditional teaching methods. A notable trend observed was that younger teachers were more receptive to online education compared to their older counterparts, who were more apprehensive about the transition. The study concludes that while distance learning offers significant benefits (e.g. flexibility, accessibility, a variety of digital tools, etc.), it also presents challenges (e.g. technical problems, lack of social interaction, workload and burnout, etc.) that must be addressed to enhance its effectiveness. The findings of this study can help shape educational policies and strategies to create more effective and inclusive learning environments in the changing world of education.

FEATURES OF SPEECH THERAPY WORK WITH CHILDREN WITH ATTENTION DEFICIT HYPERACTIVITY DISORDER


SUMMARY:

The article examines the specific features of speech therapy work with children diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) – a disorder that is among the most common issues in contemporary pedagogical and correctional practice. ADHD is characterized by attention deficits, impulsivity, and hyperactivity, which significantly affect children’s cognitive, emotional, and speech development. Research data indicates that between 5% and 20% of children exhibit signs of this disorder, but its impact may be much broader, as a considerable number of cases remain undiagnosed. ADHD complicates learning and socialization processes, especially in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine, where distance learning exacerbates the situation, making it more difficult for children with ADHD to adapt to school requirements. Children with ADHD require an individualized approach during speech therapy sessions due to their specific behavioral traits and other disorders. The article emphasizes the importance of task adaptation according to the child’s attention level, using short and well-structured exercises that do not overwhelm the child and help maintain concentration. Frequent use of visual materials, pictograms, videos, and other tools promotes better information retention. The article also highlights the importance of using game-based techniques and physical exercises to reduce hyperactivity levels and increase motivation for learning. Motivational support through positive reinforcement, such as praise or other forms of encouragement, helps to enhance a child’s self-esteem and reduce anxiety levels. Additionally, a crucial condition for the successful correction of speech disorders is collaboration between the speech therapist, parents, and educators, ensuring the continuous development of speech skills in the child’s daily life. Although research shows that children with ADHD often have speech disorders, the mechanisms of this relationship require further study. The article also emphasizes that most existing methods need adaptation for effective work with children with ADHD, underscoring the need for further research to develop individualized programs tailored to meet their specific needs.

USE OF BLENDED LEARNING TECHNOLOGIES IN THE TRAINING OF PUBLIC HEALTH SPECIALISTS


SUMMARY:

The article examines the main conditions for the use of blended learning technologies in the training of public health specialists. Blended learning, which combines traditional teaching methods with digital technologies, is becoming increasingly popular in modern education. The advantages and challenges of the implementation of blended learning in the context of training public health specialists are analyzed. Among the main advantages are the flexibility of the educational process, the possibility of personalization of education, as well as increasing the motivation and involvement of students. Special attention is paid to the development of interactive educational materials and the use of modern information technologies to support the educational process. The article also discusses the challenges and difficulties that teachers and students may face when implementing blended learning. In particular, issues of technical support, the need to train teachers to use new technologies are considered. The purpose of the study was to investigate the effectiveness of the integration of traditional teaching methods with modern digital technologies in the educational process of future public health specialists. The following research methods were used: analysis of scientific, psychological-pedagogical, educational-methodical and special literature, information sources on the research problem; synthesis and generalization of theoretical provisions revealed in scientific and educational literature; summarizing one’s own pedagogical experience of training future public health specialists to carry out professional activities, as well as the practical experience of teachers. Blended learning, as shown in the article, promotes a more flexible and individualized approach to learning, providing students with the necessary knowledge and practical skills. The challenges and prospects of introducing such technologies into the education system are also considered. A detailed analysis shows that the use of blended learning contributes to the increase of students’ motivation, the development of their independent skills and the ability to think critically. Thus, blended learning technologies are an effective tool for training highly qualified specialists in the field of public health. Future research prospects in this area include studying the impact of different technologies on learning outcomes, developing new methodologies and approaches to increase the effectiveness of blended learning, and exploring best practices for implementing blended learning in different educational and cultural contexts. An important area of research is also the analysis of the economic efficiency of blended learning and its impact on the availability and quality of education in the field of public health.
