SOCIAL COMMUNICATIONS IN THE ACTIVITIES OF CHARITABLE FUNDS IN RESPECT OF SUPPORTING THE POPULATION OF DEOCCUPIED TERRITORIES

SUMMARY:

The tendency of transformation of charitable activities from sporadic humanitarian actions to a systemic institute of social protection allows to compensate for the deficit of state capabilities in the regions liberated from occupation. The social work of modern charitable foundations is aimed, first of all, at promoting the full restoration of the vital activity of communities. The article examines the specifics of social communications in the activities of charitable foundations in support of the affected population in the deoccupied territories of Ukraine in conditions of a full-scale war and its consequences. As part of the study, based on a comprehensive approach, an analytical collection of primary information on the practical activities of leading charitable foundations operating in the liberated Kherson, Donetsk and Kharkiv regions was carried out. Based on the problem analysis, the main weaknesses and strengths of the foundations’ activities were identified, as well as the specifics of social communications within them. It was established that in the deoccupied territories, in addition to the traditional main forms of social work - material assistance, medical assistance, educational programs, housing assistance, aspects of socio-psychological support, reintegration activities, digital services and legal support are of particular importance. At the same time, social communications of charitable foundations are considered as strategic interaction with potential partners, donors, beneficiaries to inform and strengthen trust. The main means of social communications in this regard are the media, social networks, podcasting and PR tools. The article substantiates the need to introduce digital technologies to increase the efficiency of social assistance coordination against the background of a general transition to a people-centered model of social work, with an emphasis on the individual needs of victims.
