USING SMART TECHNOLOGIES IN THE TRAINING OF FUTURE PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS
SUMMARY:
The article is devoted to the analysis of Smart technologies as an important means of optimizing the educational process in institutions of higher education during the training of future primary school teachers in the context of developing their general and professional competencies, as defined by higher education standards and bachelor’s and master’s degree programs. The essence of Smart technologies is characterized, the main idea behind their use is defined, along with ways to increase the effectiveness of the educational process through their application and the advantages of integrating them into the system of training future primary school teachers. The article explores the historical background of the issue, the main benefits of Smart education; the abilities that higher education students must possess to meet the needs of modern society; and the methods of ensuring effective implementation of Smart technologies in the process of professional teacher training. Special attention is given to the advantages of using Smart technologies in the study of humanities subjects. It is noted that they facilitate the synthesis of theoretical material with practical activities, promote the development of interdisciplinary thinking, individualization of learning, motivation, accessibility, performance analytics, and cross-cultural interaction. The research methods applied include: theoretical (analysis of scientific literature; study and generalization of experience related to the research topic; comparison and systematization); a pedagogical experiment to determine the effectiveness of implementing educational materials; and methods of mathematical statistics to analyze data and establish quantitative indicators of the studied phenomena.Examples of the successful application of Smart technologies in the study of compulsory educational components (“Children’s Literature with the Basics of Literary Education”, “Pedagogy (Integrated Course)”) of the “Primary Education” program at the State Institution “Taras Shevchenko Luhansk National University” are presented. Significant attention is paid to Smart reading as a form of interactive engagement with children’s texts and the FUSE model as an effective tool for developing methodological creativity, digital literacy, teamwork, reflection, and self-directed learning.
